Yes, it is a romantic musical with great music, but the underlying themes are so much more keeping you engaged during the entire movie.
Be prepared to see a sense romance, courage, honor and humanity that will heighten your senses. You will feel love, spirituality, anger, sadness and happiness all throughout. The scenery is beautiful and the actors all play their roles well. Veer's speech in court towards the end is something that will be remembered as it should be a basis of all humanity's dealings with differences.
It is awesome in a world filled with hatred towards differences that a story like this can rise above and see the common thread in all humanity. A must see, even if you don't enjoy romantic musicals.
